Higuera Hardwoods FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) approved bamboo flooring is made from mountain grown Moso bamboo that is extracted from controlled forests with a 5-6 year harvest. Our raw material is then kiln dried to a 5-9% moisture rate, ensuring years of trouble free use. This also allows for below grade installation and installation over pipe system radiant heat. The planks are milled with tongue and groove edges on all four sides to provide interlocking assembly. Each piece is sanded multiple times with the finest German machinery and comes with a rough glue-ready surface on bottom that is sealed to inhibit moisture from entering from the subfloor. The top edge above the tongue is mitered and ready to accept standard flooring staples or cleats.

All of Higuera Hardwoods Strand bamboo flooring is tongue and groove plank 72" inches long by 3 ¾” inches wide by 9/16” thick. It is factory pre-finished with 7 coats of 100% solids UV cured Acrylic Urethane with aluminum oxide. Only the finest German machinery is used to apply and cure our durable coatings.
