New Design with Greater Flexibility
The new Attic Breeze Pivot Bracket was designed specifically with our customers in mind, offering the possibility for maximum sun exposure when less than ideal installation locations are required. The Pivot Bracket mounts directly to the top of your solar attic fan, minimizing installation time and avoiding the need for remotely mounted solar panels. The Pivot Bracket is most appropriate for use with roofs featuring an east/west facing, or for flat roofs where the solar panel must be inclined in order to achieve maximum power output. Attic Breeze manufactures these brackets from corrosion resistant stainless steel for long lasting durability. The Pivot Bracket is available with all Attic Breeze solar attic fan models which feature a unit mounted solar panel.
Solar Attic Fans & Ventilation Products
Our line of 25 watt residential and commercial solar attic fans can deliver an incredible 1550 CFM of airflow, far more powerful than any other product in this class (see our Product Comparison page for details). These solar attic fans can effectively cool an attic space of up to 2300 square feet!
Why do you need more power in a solar attic fan? More power means that our solar attic fans can effective cool a larger area of attic space, or more efficiently cool a smaller attic. By designing the cooling capacity of our solar attic fans to be greater than that of competitive solar attic fan products, Attic Breeze delivers better cooling performance at an affordable price. Better cooling performance means the potential for more energy savings and the need for less ventilation units to properly ventilate your home or business.
Federal Tax Credit for Residential Customers!
Attic Breeze solar attic fans qualify for a 30% federal tax credit as defined by the Emergency Stabilization Act of 2009, which extended the credits available for solar-powered energy systems and expanded the qualifying product requirements. Attic Breeze products (defined as qualified photovoltaic systems) are currently eligible for the tax credit which were purchased and installed after January 1, 2009. This federal tax credit is scheduled to be in effect through December 31, 2016.
As currently defined, the tax credit applies to both the purchase and installation cost of the qualified photovoltaic system. Attic Breeze customers should keep a copy of their sales receipt, labor costs associated with installation, and the manufacturer certification statement for their tax records. For more information on this federal tax credit, please see IRS Form 5695 or consult with your local tax professional.
Why do you need a Solar Attic Fan?
Solar attic fans offer an environmentally friendly and economical solution to summer time cooling problems resulting from attic heat penetrating your home's insulation. During the summer, attic temperatures can soar to over 150°F, keeping your attic hot throughout the day and well into the night. The higher the temperature of your attic, the less effective your attic insulation will be at stopping heat from entering your home.
Installation of a solar attic fan on your home minimizes the amount of heat entering through the attic by reducing your attic temperature. By minimizing the amount heat entering your home, you will save money on your summer cooling bill and make your house feel more comfortable (see diagrams below).
